If you’re feeling sluggish, bloated or like you don’t have enough energy throughout the day, then I have the perfect smoothie for you! I usually call this my “Fertility Smoothie” since it has a lot of great benefits for my body as I start going through IVF, but really, this smoothie is for everyone!

It combines a ton of fresh ingredients that will nourish your body and get your daily dose of veggies in for the day. In my opinion, that’s a win-win! I also like to add in my Ancient Nutrition Collagen Protein Powder to get some added protein in and treat this like a meal replacement. Every scoop of Ancient Nutrition Collagen Protein Powder has 9g of protein!

Here are some of the amazing benefits this smoothie has to offer!

Coconut water is super refreshing and is packed with electrolytes and potassium, so it’s like a natural sports drink! It’s a great low-calorie way to stay hydrated without those added sugars and food colorings.

Spinach is rich in iron, which helps function of our red blood cells and blood circulation, which is great for women going through fertility issues. Spinach also is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A, vitamin C, manganese, magnesium, iron and vitamin B2.

Granny Smith apples, especially with the skin on, are a great source of fiber. They have a high water content, so they keep you feeling full longer and give you that added extra bit of hydration. Granny Smith apples also have an effect on our “good” bacteria in our gut, helping with our immune system. So, I guess they were right when they said, “an apple a day, keeps the doctor away!”

Cucumber has a lot of health benefits, especially in its outer peel, so to maximize nutrient contents, they should be eaten unpeeled. Antioxidants, Vitamin C, Vitamin K Magnesium, Potassium and Manganese are just a few of a cucumber’s health benefits. They are also made of 95% water, so again, there is your added hydration for the day! With that amount of water, it’s also said that cucumbers can help promote regularity, which is great for when going through IVF and taking a ton of different medications that back you up!

Beets may not be for everyone, but their benefits for your body are undeniable. They help by increasing blood flow and the circulation of oxygen throughout your body. Also they are high in fiber, folate and Vitamin C.

Ginger Root is refreshing and super helpful for anyone that may be experiencing nausea. It has been shown that ginger can ease a nauseated stomach by breaking up gas in your intestines. Anyone who is going through IVF and taking a ton of meds can attest to feeling nauseous, and ginger has been a life saver for me! Besides curing stomach pains, ginger is a great antibacterial, and can help your body fight off germs.

Lemon contains both Vitamin C and iron. They also contain fiber, which can help with digestive help, but most of the lemon’s fiber is found in the pulp. While most people can’t and won’t eat a whole lemon, you do have the ability to peel and give it a rough chop and add it into your smoothie, to make sure you are getting your daily dose of fiber!

Flax Seeds have a ton of benefits and is considered a super food with its abundance in Omega-3 fatty acids, protein, fiber, Vitamin B, and magnesium just to name a few! While the Omega-3 fatty acids aid in overall heart health (a great way for vegetarians to get their fatty acids) they also have a ton of fiber, which is why I like to incorporate them into my diet, with all of the medications I am taking.

Chia Seeds are one of the healthiest foods on the planet. Just a small amount packs a powerful punch of nutrients like fiber, protein, Omega-3 fatty acids and calcium. I love chia seeds, again for the fiber.
