I know you guys have all had hummus before, but have you had DESSERT hummus? It’s SO good and it’s a great guilt-free dessert or mid-day snack. It has TONS of protein. This recipe is one of my favorites it almost has the consistency and taste of brownie batter.
It’s made with garbanzo beans (aka chickpeas) and then instead of cocoa powder, I use Ancient Nutrition Chocolate Collagen Powder. Collagen powder is amazing for your hair, your skin, your joints, your nails, everything. I love this stuff and I can’t rave about it enough. Ingredients:
- ½ cup garbanzo beans (drained)
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder or 2 scoops Ancient Nutrition Chocolate Collagen Powder
- Pinch of sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-4 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1-2 teaspoons of water
Instructions:
Add ingredients to blender and blend to desired consistency, adding water by the teaspoon as needed – I do about the texture of brownie batter.
This makes enough for 1-2 good size servings. Pop it in the fridge to chill and pair with your favorite snack such as fruit, pretzels or anything you might want to dip in brownie batter! It makes a wonderful healthy, high-protein, high-fiber dip. Enjoy!
