Faux leather leggings, chunky knit sweaters and chic scarves are all fall staples that I am currently living in! However, the palates can be very bland in blacks, grays, and neutrals so I really love a pop of color on my face! My favorite is a red lip! Lots of people are scared to play with a bold color on their lips but the truth it that it is very flattering and sexy as long as you know how to do it right!
First, start by exfoliating your lips the night before. My go to trick is mixing a little sugar and olive oil until it makes a paste and then rubbing it gently on my lips. Wash off and then put Vaseline on and go to bed. Now that you have soft, gorgeous lips lets discuss the tricks of bold lipstick. Find a lip pencil that matches the shade of the lipstick. I hate when the line is too harsh so what I like to do is if the pencil is just sharpened I color it gently a few times on a paper towel to dull it. Then line your lips and then use the pencil to color in the rest of your lips. Next apply your lipstick, then lightly blot once with tissue and apply a second coat. I really like to use a lipstick brush because it ensures flawless coverage. After, take a bit of translucent powder and dust it over the top to set it all. It may sound tedious but the result is hot, sexy lips with color that lasts all night!
