I wanted to share with all of you these wonderful pictures taken by the amazingly talented Bailey Smith! I was so excited to do a maternity photo shoot to capture the joy of having my son growing inside of me. As many of you know, Kyle and I struggled for a long time to have our miracle baby. These photos perfectly capture the excitement and joy Kyle and I both felt to be so blessed to finally have him!
For those of you thinking about doing a maternity shoot, I wanted to share with you the companies I used to dress for it. Bailey’s type of photography, as well as the location, called for dramatic and whimsical looks. The blue dress in the photographs came from an Etsy store called Silk Fairies. I had the dress custom-made because I wanted it to be blue because we were having a boy and I wanted the train to be extra-long for a more dramatic effect. You can check this shop out here.
All the other dresses were from Sew Trendy Accessories, a company Bailey works with closely. I fell in love with their form-fitting, vintage inspired Samantha dress! I paired it with the jewelry from our wedding for an extra special (and meaningful) touch.
Finally, I’m obsessed with the gorgeous belt from GlamHerBands that I paired with the blue dress. It added such a gorgeous accent and really helps to show off my bump. I think these belts are amazing for maternity shoots, wedding dresses or anytime you just want to jazz up a dress or top! If you would like a belt of your own, you can get one now for 20% off with code Samantha20!
