I don’t care what each brand of sunblock claims, I always breakout when I put sunscreen on my face. Ones without oil, mineral based, dermatologist approved…it doesn’t matter. Within an hour, I’m an oil slick and my skin is broken out.
I do like BB and CC creams that have SPF 30 in them (see my blog here on my fav one) but I really don’t want to wear that much makeup when I head out to the pool. Not to mention, I don’t want to keep reapplying the creams since they do have a foundation-like base to them and they can get cakey.
I can now confidently say I have found my saving grace in facial sunscreen with Colorescience Sunforgettable Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50. This nifty self-dispensing brush makes this powder-based sunscreen easy to apply all day long. It’s offers great sun protection while also helping to keep my oily skin under control. It is pretty sheer and matches my skin perfectly (I use the medium color). No messy application or broken out skin for me with this amazing sunscreen.
The only downfall is that it is $62. However, I will say that I use mine a pretty decent amount and it has lasted about two years because it really doesn’t take a lot of the product to provide great sun protection.
