Summer Series: What to Wear to… a Beach Wedding

Wedding season is upon us and many of you have told me that you are attending beach weddings. Warm breezes, sand at your feet, the sound of waves crashing on the beach…what’s not to love?! The big question for many though, whether you are the bride, a bridesmaid or a wedding guest, is what in the world do I wear? You want to be formal but not stuffy and also have comfortable footwear since sand and sky-high heels really don’t mesh well for a night of dancing under the stars. With that being said, I found some great sandals from Fibi and Clo that are featured in all the looks I have put together. These sandals are not only stunning with their detailed gem and bead work but are also super affordable, especially for the quality! The most expensive pair is $60!

The looks I put together are all longer style dresses because I always worry with the strong breezes that you could have a “Marilyn Monroe incident” in front of everyone and upstage the bride! They are all gorgeous, light-colored shades that look great with summer skin.

Brides, it’s your big day, so opt for a dress change if your ceremony gown is uncomfortable or has a long train that doesn’t bustle easily. Even if you wore heels earlier in the day, slip on the gorgeous white stone and gem sandals I found with a shorter length dress (layers or a heavier fabric also help if there is a breeze) so that you can dance the night away uninhibited.

Guys, don’t worry, I didn’t forget about you! Casual and cool will describe your look and, better yet, the pants I found are on big time sale! These pieces are so versatile, that once added into your current wardrobe, they will be used for much more than one wedding.
