Fall is right around the corner and the flavors of fall are some of my favorites! Pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and apple…mmmm, I can’t wait! When I first tried the American Heritage Chocolate, I found that is wasn’t like your normal chocolate.  It had a mild spice to it with a delicious flavor profile including, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, chili pepper and anise.  I knew that this would pair so well with pumpkin spices to make a delicious brownie with all the flavors of fall!

American Heritage Fall Harvest Brownies

1 cup flour

½ cup American Heritage Cocoa Powder

1 ½ cups sugar

½ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon allspice

½ cup melted butter

2 eggs

2 tablespoons pumpkin butter

½ cup toffee bits

Begin by melting butter.  In a separate bowl, add all of your dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, salt, allspice, and toffee bits).  Add the melted butter to the dry mix, add the pumpkin butter and then add one whisked egg at a time as you are stirring all the ingredients.  Place in an 8X8 non-stick pan and bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.  Note that all ovens vary.
