As many of you already know I was given the huge opportunity to host the 4th annual Charlotte North Carolina Fashion Week 2011 this past weekend!  The wonderful InStyler sponsored the show and I was able to learn a bunch of new tricks and techniques that even me, an InStyler pro, didn’t know! I will do a whole blog on it late, you InStyler ladies will love it! I had such an amazing time and wanted to share the experience with you guys!

First, the event lasted three nights and was held at the EpiCenter Pavilion which is the perfect location because there is so much to do and so much energy there!  The first evening there were national retailers, local boutiques and emerging designers.  The following two nights were emerging and established designers.  Most of the collections were ready to wear everyday and eveningwear and many of the designers had guests asking where they could purchase their pieces.

One of my favorite collections was Pretty Birdie which is an eco friendly women’s clothing and accessory line that uses high-end, sustainable fabrics.  If you are looking for an ultra chic sweater or hot pencil skirt and matching jacket this is the collection to check out!  Another one of my favorite collections was Tsvety Fashions! I have done a write up on her previously and for good reason.  Tsvety made my dresses for both Friday and Saturday night.  One was a gorgeous blue sparkly mini and the other was a long olive/gold gown with a daring slit that I love!  She produces many ready to wear dresses that are perfect for a vast array of events. Lastly, I wanted to mention Corey Couture who headlined the event. Cory has dressed popular celebrities such as Brandy, Kelly Rowland and Tony Braxton! His dresses are very haute couture and they were a showstopper! He even put me in one of his stunning creations for the second half of the show! It was an all feathered dress with a gorgeous feathered belt as you can see in the picture gallery.

If you have never been to a fashion show or are on the fence about going I will use my Pops as an example for you.  My Pops was hesitant about coming since he is about as manly as you can get.  Of course my Mom and I forced him to come to at least the first night and after that he was hooked.  He rubbed elbows with many former NFL players, got fashion tips from a company that specializes in men’s suit and loved all the food and drinks that were in a club called SUITE which was part of the event within the EpiCenter.  My Pops came every night and had the most wonderful time, he is already talking about next year! So if you are not sure if you will like it trust me you will.  There is a little something for everyone!

I would like to close by thanking everyone that came out to support me, that had a part of this event and that I met! Charlotte has such wonderful people and I really hope to be a part of this event again next year!
